College Countdown Mississippi provides every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply for college at an Application Day Event, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and celebrate their post-secondary plans at College Signing Day in the spring.

Schools that complete this form by October 1, 2023 are guaranteed to receive promo items and are eligible for the distinction Premier School and considered for the award of School of Excellence.
College Application Days provide students the resources and tools to complete college applications online at a designated time during the school day. Students will be encouraged to apply to more than one school because research shows that increasing college applications from one to three increases the chance for college enrollment after graduation.
FAFSA Days provide students and families with one-on-one assistance in completing the FAFSA and the Mississippi Aid Application (MAAPP). Schools are encouraged to schedule a virtual or in-person FAFSA Day as early as possible so that students have maximum time to understand their options.
College Signing Days celebrate each student's plan after high school and encourage ALL students to see college as an option. Whether at a four-year university, a community college, an industry-recognized training program, or in the military, College Signing Days celebrate students making decisions for their future.
