Skill UP Mississippi 

Skill UP Mississippi offers training and support for people pursuing nationally recognized High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma programs. These programs, offered through community colleges and adult education programs across the state, provide students with a flexible, supportive environment designed to help students succeed.


The HiSET exam helps adult learners achieve their college and career goals to expand opportunities and changes lives.


TASC Test Assessing Secondary Completion is a state-of-the-art and affordable national high school equivalency assessment. It assesses five subject areas including Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

ACT WorkKeys 

The assessments measure foundational skills required for success in the workplace, and help measure the workplace skills that can affect job performance.

U.S. Dept. of Education - Office of Career, Technical, & Adult Education 

The Division of Adult Education and Literacy is responsible for enabling adults to acquire the basic skills necessary to function in today's society so that they can benefit from the completion of secondary school, enhanced family life, attaining citizenship and participating in job training and retraining programs.

Mississippi Works 

An innovative apprenticeship program under the Mississippi Apprenticeship Council. This program will connect apprenticeships to career and technical education training programs within the state's community college system. Essentially, the program will allow apprentices to receive both college credit hours and wages for their training.
