Knowing that each of us are the superheroes that our young folk need. Even though we don’t wear capes, or spandex, LOL!
Daniela understands the need for equity and education. Her graduate research on young males in the juvenile justice system has equipped her with insight to show an extra effort in her counseling methods. She is as quick to rejoice in their success, almost as fast as she could run the 200 meter dash! Her 18-year track and field career has transitioned into coaching and cheering on her students and mentees from the sidelines.
In her free time she can be found watching 90s sitcoms such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Living Single, and A Different World. You may also spot her running through Belhaven even though her time as a track and field athlete are behind her. She enjoys thrifting, decorating, and the arts. While she has a pescatarian, vegan-ish lifestyle, she loves Cajun and Caribbean food.
