Favorite thing about Get2College

A big believer in equal access and equity, Carina loves having the ability to make an impact by exposing traditionally underserved students to the college process and teaching them skills to be successful in college.

What she brings to Get2College

Having been a School Counselor, Director of Student Success at Belhaven University, and the Pilot Program Director at Get2College, Carina’s experience working with school counselors, high school students, and college students contributes to the success of the goal of the Jackson Get2College Center. Carina was named MS Counseling Association’s College Counselor of the Year (2017). She is a National Board Certified Counselor and School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Candidate.

More about Carina

Carina spends her free time with family, friends, and her three dogs (Rocsi, Kate, and Missy). She is a pescatarian and enjoys trying new seafood and vegan recipes. Carina is most excited about the arrival of her first child in September.
