What she brings to Get2College
My previous experience is kind of like a good Gumbo – a little of this, a little of that but it all works well together. Moving to Mississippi in 2011 with Teach for America, I taught approximately 1200 students (ages PreK to 8th grade) as the Art Teacher for Hazlehurst Elementary and Middle School. Soon after teaching, I became the Creative Economy Program Manager with Visit Mississippi, working with creative businesses throughout the state. I also have expertise in graphic design, small business and non-profit marketing & outreach, strategic planning, political advocacy, and event planning.
More about Lisa
When I’m not at work, I enjoy running, reading, gardening, hanging out with friends and visiting family in Minnesota when I can. With my husband and two Catahoula dogs, you’ll find me outdoors kayaking, canoeing, or camping.
